Membership

To join, we encourage prospective members to please attend our public events to meet our community. Once you have developed a relationship with a member in good standing, they can act as your sponsor for membership.

You will need one member to be a sponsor and two members to be signatories on your application. Each must be a member for at least one year to be eligible to be your sponsor and signatories.

You will also need to write an essay about your interest in the Garibaldina Society.

Member Initiation fee

• $200 one time payment

Annual Dues

• $120 (under age 75) 

• $75 (age 75+)

Membership Process

1. Attend our public events and follow us on Eventbrite to get notified about ticket sales.

2. Meet members.

3. Befriend an eligible member sponsor (1+ year tenure).

4. Befriend two additional eligible members (1+ year tenure) to endorse you as a signatory.

5. Complete the membership application form.

6. An interview will be scheduled for you with the Garibaldina Membership Qualification Committee.

7. In your interview, please share your impressive passion for Italian culture and willingness to serve our community.

8. Membership votes for new applicants monthly at the general membership meeting.

9. Following a successful vote by the membership, you will receive an email confirming your acceptance and providing details about the initiation ceremony.

12. Attend your first Tuesday membership meeting, where you are sworn into the Garibaldina Society.

13. Stay active! We encourage all members to attend events and monthly membership meetings to stay connected and engaged with the community.

14. Remain a member in good standing by paying your annual dues each October.
