Join us for a special Italian dinner party! During this unforgettable evening, Florentine cook Marzia Polito will teach you how to make two of her favorite dishes while you also learn Italian vocabulary and phrases for the kitchen with Lorena Bignamini from Fondazione Italia!

Details:

  • You will be greeted with an Aperol Spritz as students and teacher introduce themselves to each other and to the chef.

  • Move into the kitchen to begin preparing the Gnocchi Tricolore con Burro e Salvia (Tricolor Gnocchi with butter and sage) and prepping ingredients for the Pollo di Carbonara e Zucchine (Chicken and Zucchini Carbonara style).

  • Although the class will be given in English, Italian words for items and actions will be introduced for students to learn some Italian. Students will also learn about the region the dishes come from.

  • After the dishes are created, the group will move to the dining room to eat the Gnocchi Tricolore and the Pollo di Carbonara e Zucchine. Red wine will be served with dinner.

  • At the conclusion of dinner, the chef will bring out a surprise dessert and espresso will be offered.

  • All students will be given a copy of the recipes to be able to recreate the dishes at home!

  • All materials will be provided. Please no loose fitting clothing. Long hair tied back. Closed toed shoes.
